Before heading to the Met, we’ll gather at Salumeria Rosi for a delightful brunch at 10:00 a.m. Hosted by IFFV President and co-founder James E. Miller, we’ll enjoy a sumptuous meal as we take over the restaurant for the morning before the curtain rises at 12:30 p.m.
International Friends of Festival Verdi celebrates Emilia Romagna, Italy, the birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi. We’re excited to bring a taste of Parma before seeing Aida. Salumeria Rosi is a charming Italian restaurant that brings the flavors and traditions of Parma to New York City. Known for its inviting atmosphere, it offers a true taste of Emilia-Romagna, featuring artisanal cured meats, fine cheeses, and classic dishes.
With ties to Parma—Italy’s food capital—the restaurant showcases high-quality ingredients, many sourced directly from the region. Salumeria Rosi isn’t just a place to dine; it’s a celebration of Italian craftsmanship, where every dish tells a story of tradition and passion. Whether enjoying silky prosciutto di Parma or hearty pasta, the restaurant captures Parma’s rich culinary heritage.
At noon, a chartered bus will take you from Salumeria Rosi to the Metropolitan Opera. Or, enjoy a leisurely walk from the restaurant to Lincoln Center.
